Deirdre  Kelly  is  an  artist  and  art  historian  from  Ireland.  She  is  continuing  her  research  on  an  Irish  artist  called  George  AE  Russell  (1867-1935)  who  lived  at  the  turn  of  the  20th  century.  He  was  a  social  reformer,  writer,  poet, artist  and mystic.  He  worked  alongside  other  renowned  writers  and  artists  during  the  so-called  Celtic  Revival  period  in  Ireland  such  as  W.B.  Yeats,  Lady  Gregory  etc.,  and  his  'dream'  paintings,  which  Deirdre  is  researching,  were  based  on  his  visions.  

  

 Deirdre's  own  artwork  is  also  included  within  this  site;  paintings,  sketches  and  photography,  as  well  as  favourite  artists.   Deirdre  would  be  very  interested  in  hearing  from  anyone  who  wishes  to  have  work  commissioned  or  has  any  information  regarding  George  Russell.
